அத்தியாயம் 10 – Materials & Cutting Parameters

🔩 Machining Material வகைகள்:

CNC Milling-ல் வெவ்வேறு வகையான metal மற்றும் non-metal பொருட்கள் வெட்டப்படுகின்றன. ஒவ்வொன்றுக்கும் தனி கடினத்தன்மை, வெப்பநிலை சகித்தல், மற்றும் machining difficulty இருக்கும்.

• Aluminum – Soft, high speed possible
• Steel – Moderate hardness, coolant must
• Stainless Steel – Harder, low speed with coolant
• Titanium – Tough, sharp tools + slow feed
• Plastic – Low speed, avoid melting

⚙ Cutting Parameters என்றால் என்ன?

Tool வெட்டும் போது அதன் RPM, feed rate, depth of cut, coolant எல்லாம் சேர்ந்து cutting parameters ஆகும். இவை machining performance-ஐ தீர்மானிக்கும்.

🧠 Spindle Speed கணக்கீடு:

RPM = (1000 × Vc) / (π × D)
Vc – Cutting speed (m/min)
D – Tool diameter (mm)
  

📏 Feed Rate கணக்கீடு:

Feed Rate = RPM × No. of flutes × Feed per tooth (fz)
  

🧪 Practical Tip:

• Aluminum → High RPM, Low DOC OK
• Stainless → Low RPM, coolant essential
• Titanium → Low feed, strong sharp tool
• Plastic → Slow RPM, No overheating
