G83 Turning Syntax
G83 Z-20.0 Q2000 R1.0 F0.1;
Z: Final depth
Q: Peck depth in microns (e.g. 2000 = 2mm)
R: Return amount between pecks
F: Feedrate
Cycle Working
The tool drills incrementally to the Z-depth using the Q value (in microns). After each peck, the tool retracts by R value to break chips, then continues. Once full Z depth is reached, it retracts safely.

Visual Representation
🔹 Use Q in microns (not mm)
🔸 R value helps prevent tool breakage in deep holes
🔹 Always retract to safe zone after drilling
🔸 G83 is suitable for 2-axis turning drilling operations when chip clearing is critical
