G92 – Thread Cutting Cycle

1. G92 Cycle Format

N40 G92 X.. Z.. F..

X: Current diameter of the thread pass
Z: End position of the thread (Z-axis)
F: Thread pitch (feed per revolution)

2. Manual Pass Control

You can define each pass manually using individual X values, like:

N50 X2.9520
N51 X2.9360
N52 X2.9230

This allows full control over the depth of cut per pass.

3. Thread Cycle Completion

The cycle must be canceled manually using a positioning command, such as:

N110 G00 X12.0 Z4.5 M09;

If omitted, the control may wait for more threading blocks.

N90 X2.9040
N100 X2.8978
N110 G00 X12.0 Z4.5 M09
N120 M30
⚠️ Note:
🔹 Use manual X values for custom pass depth
🔸 G92 does not auto-repeat — no spring passes or taper R
🔹 Ending with G00 or G01 is mandatory to close cycle safely
